Job summary
Yeovil College is seeking a Curriculum Leader for Mechanical to drive planning and delivery of Plumbing and Gas within a brand-new workshop environment in Bath. You will lead a diverse team, ensure high-quality teaching, and oversee learner outcomes, using data and industry insights to sharpen curricula and progression opportunities.
The role requires leadership experience in vocational provision, a Level 3 in Construction/Building Services, a Level 5 teaching qualification, and Level 2 English
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in curriculum, vocational or apprenticeship provision.
- Strong industry expertise in Construction or Building Services and current developments.
- Learner-first mindset with a passion for teaching and outcomes.
- Commercial and analytical thinking with data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership across the Mechanical Trades curriculum and learner outcomes.
- Lead and support a team of staff, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Monitor attendance, retention, achievement and progression; drive quality improvement.
- Inform curriculum development using data and industry insight; support recruitment and progression initiatives.
