Coleg Gwent is seeking a Curriculum Area Manager for the Torfaen Learning Zone to lead English, Maths and Skills delivery and drive quality across campuses. The role focuses on teaching quality, assessment, attendance and progression, with cross-campus standards and Welsh language development.

The post requires EWC registration and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, plus a PGCE or willingness to achieve one within a set period.

• Lead, motivate and support staff delivering GCSE, Essential Skills, Advanced Learning and Advanced Skills Baccalaureate provision at campus level.
• Ensure learners are on the right qualification pathway and receive an inclusive, engaging and supportive learning experience.
• Drive improvements in teaching, learning, assessment, attendance, attainment and progression.
• Use learner data and quality assurance processes to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
• Act as cross-college lead for a specialist subject area, supporting consistent curriculum delivery.
• Lead standardisation and moderation across campuses.
• Embed literacy, numeracy, digital skills and Welsh language development across teaching and learning.
• Work with curriculum, ALN and support teams so learners are well supported and can reach their potential.
