Job summary

LS2Y Nurseries in Huddersfield are seeking a motivated Nursery Practitioner to support high‑quality early years provision and holistic child development.

You will be the key person for small groups, work with parents and partners to embed the Curiosity Approach, and promote play‑based learning aligned with EYFS 2024–25 updates. A Level 3+ qualification and prior experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced in an early years setting.
• Passionate about the Curiosity Approach and child-led learning.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, EYFS, SEND, and Ofsted requirements.

Responsibilities

• contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, responsive and inclusive early years provision that supports the holistic development of every child and their family.
• work collaboratively with parents, community partners and multi‑agency teams to embed LS2Y values and ensure children thrive in nurturing, stimulating and curiosity‑led environments.
• promote child‑centred practice, emotional wellbeing and play‑based learning aligned with the EYFS 2024–25 updates.
• assist in the efficient and effective day to day operation of the Company’s nursery provision encouraging a friendly and stimulating environment and positive attitudes are established in a variety of social contexts.
• be the Key person for building relationships with small groups of children and their parents/ carers.
