Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking a Culture Compact Development Manager to lead delivery of the Cultural Strategic Framework, working with cultural organisations, funders and partners. The role focuses on securing external funding, shaping partnerships, and guiding the Compact's transition to CIO, with oversight of the Shared Fund for Culture Compact.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cultural development, arts or creative industries.
• Experience collaborating with partners, stakeholders and communities.
• Track record delivering complex projects in partnership environments.
• Experience translating strategic priorities into delivery plans.
• Experience developing partnerships and securing funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of priorities within Birmingham's Cultural Strategic Framework.
• Support and advise the Cultural Compact Board and future CIO trustees.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships across the cultural and creative sectors.
• Identify and secure external funding opportunities.
• Coordinate and administer Compact meetings and activities.
• Oversee allocation from Shared Fund for Culture Compact.
• Monitor and report progress against strategic objectives.
• Represent the Cultural Compact at local, regional and national forums and events.
