Job summary
The Opportunity Provider Ltd (TOP) is seeking a Chef Trainer to share culinary expertise with apprentices and shape the next generation of chefs. This hybrid role covers the Cornwall area with a mix of home-based work and site visits, travelling the region to mentor learners and collaborate with employers.
You will lead hands-on instruction, tailor learning plans, and integrate functional skills like maths and English into the curriculum, supporting trainees toward successful careers in
Qualifications
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or higher in a kitchen.
- Ideal to have a professional culinary qualification.
- Level 2 English and maths (or willingness to achieve).
Responsibilities
- Guide apprentices at all levels, helping them develop skills and confidence in the kitchen.
- Provide hands-on training in essential techniques at our Chef Academy.
- Personalise learning plans to suit each apprentice’s needs and ensure they have the tools to thrive.
- Show how maths and English fit into the culinary world in daily practice.
- Build relationships with employers and update them on apprentice progress.
- Manage administrative tasks and plan using Google Suite and other systems.
