Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a Chef Supervisor to lead the kitchen team at HMP Millsike, Full Sutton, York. You will supervise chefs and inmates, ensure meals are prepared to a set menu, maintain cleanliness, conduct stock checks, and complete paperwork. Training and development opportunities are provided.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours per week, shift windows from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and a pay rate of £14.60 per hour. DBS checks and UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
• Relevant culinary qualification required.
• Experience in a large-scale kitchen setting.
• UK residence for the past 5 years and ability to pass DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and supervise a team of chefs and inmates.
• Prepare basic quality foods according to a set pre-ordered menu.
• Maintain cleanliness, stock checks, and accurate paperwork/due diligence forms.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and manage conflicts as needed.
• Participate in required training and professional development.
