Job summary

HSB Technical Ltd is recruiting a CTV Marine Engineer for onboard duties on a 4 On 4 Off shift, with a 28 day rotation in the UK. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance and ensuring vessel safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work with the crew to keep ship systems running efficiently and trains newer staff as needed. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years in a similar role, strong mechanical ability, basic electrical knowledge and current STCW certifications including ENG1,

Qualifications

Must have strong mechanical knowledge.
Basic electrical knowledge required.
All STCW certifications must be current, including ENG1.
AEC 1 and AEC 2 certifications are required.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and basic electrical systems.
Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs and logs.
Monitor engine performance and other mechanical systems.
Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
Collaborate with crew and assist training of less experienced staff.
Participate in regular inspection and servicing of equipment onboard.
Carry out duties in accordance with STCW and company policies.
