Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Chief Technology Officer for a Yorkshire EdTech scale-up. You will own the technology strategy and engineering function, leading an approximately 10-person team to scale a secure, high-performing platform across B2B and B2C markets.

You will drive an AI-enabled roadmap, align with investors and founders, and ensure governance, delivery, and rapid growth while maintaining technical excellence. Hybrid work in Yorkshire with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leadership experience at VP Engineering, Head of Engineering or CTO level.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, complex integrations or software-led businesses.
• Proven track record in engineering practices, scalability and delivery.
• Understanding of how AI can enhance software engineering and productivity.
• Strong commercial judgement and executive stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the technology roadmap aligned to the growth strategy.
• Lead an engineering team of ~10 professionals and ensure performance.
• Ensure platform scalability, security and resilience as volumes grow.
• Strengthen engineering practices, product delivery and release management.
• Define data, security and technology governance; manage AI initiatives.
