This post is for Bank CT Radiographers who are fully trained and employed by UHNM Trust.

The CT scanning department currently has nine state-of-the-art CT scanners supporting a wide range of referrers, including the Level 1 Major Trauma Centre, Vascular and Neuro intervention, Paediatric, Musculoskeletal, and Oncology services.

Being part of the University Hospital of North Midlands offers the opportunity to contribute to the training of student Radiographers on their clinical placements and of CT Radiographers on Band 5/6 preceptorship.

Main duties of the job

Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:

  • Performing high-quality CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest CT techniques and protocols.
  • Ensuring the efficient and effective running of the CT lists, adhering to policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for patients.
  • Participating in the supervision of student Radiographers and training of CT Radiographers on Band 5/6 preceptorship.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with all departments.
  • Being proactive and eager to fulfill the responsibilities of the Band 6 role as outlined in the Job Description.
