Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate CT/MRI Clinical Support Worker to join the Cross-Sectional Imaging team at Arrowe Park Hospital.

You will support patients throughout their imaging journey, assist radiographers and the multidisciplinary team, and help deliver safe, high-quality care across a range of shift patterns including potential nights and extended days.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with all local CT and MRI Standard Operating Procedures, policies, and guidelines.
• Communicating examination processes to patients and assisting them in preparing for their imaging procedures.
• Providing care, reassurance and support to patients throughout their time in the department, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
• Undertaking cannulation duties where appropriately trained and competent to do so.
• Performing and recording basic patient observations as required.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and infection prevention and control.
• Working flexibly across all areas of the CT and MRI service, to meet service needs.
• Contributing to a positive, professional, and patient-centred environment at all times.
