Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a lead radiographer to head the CT team across inpatient and outpatient pathways. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive service improvements, and ensure safe, high-quality imaging with strong governance.

The role requires MSc/BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration, and postgraduate CT imaging qualification, plus significant CT leadership experience. A supportive environment and established radiology team await.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in CT imaging or equivalent.
• HCPC registration with current radiography practice.
• Desirable leadership or management qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CT team in delivering diagnostic CT examinations across patient pathways.
• Ensure efficient day-to-day management and staff development.
• Promote radiation safety and dose optimisation in line with regulations.
• Coordinate staff rotas and CT resource utilisation for throughput.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and service redesign projects.
• Ensure governance, quality assurance and risk management within CT.
• Support education and competency assessment of radiographers and learners.
• Build strong working relationships with radiologists and MDTs.
