Job summary

Amentum in the United Kingdom is seeking a design engineer to produce baseline configuration modelling within project areas using Revit and AutoCAD, and to develop option layouts for value management.

You will detail the preferred solution with drawings for contractors, participate in site inspections to confirm design scope, and apply codes and standards across civil and infrastructure projects. This role offers hybrid working and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering and architectural principles applied to facility design.

Job description

• Producing baseline configuration modelling of the facility structure within the project areas of interest (Revit)
• Supporting the engineer to develop layouts of options to support down-selection through Value Management (AutoCAD/Revit)
• Detailing the single preferred solution, producing drawings and details to communicate design intent and specification to contractors and other stakeholders for implementation (AutoCAD/Revit)
• Attend site inspections to confirm design scope and interfaces in order to accurately reflect the as-built configuration of the facility within design solution details Understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
• Ability to apply codes, standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and BIM platforms.
• Basic understanding of structural analysis and civil infrastructure design.
• Understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
• Experience supporting design delivery on construction or infrastructure projects.
