Job summary

SPT Labtech in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire is seeking a Process Technician for a 9-month fixed term contract. You will prepare and mix reagents, assemble tiny components, and perform quality control checks to ensure consumables meet specifications before reaching customers.

This is hands-on, detail-driven work; you will follow SOPs, keep production records, and collaborate with a small team. Full training is provided, including chemical handling and hazardous waste management.

Qualifications

• Excellent manual dexterity with high accuracy in work.
• Willingness to follow SOPs and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and work with the team to improve quality output.
• Be trained in proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in a laboratory, maintaining excellent housekeeping while following safety, environment and risk management systems.
• Maintain accurate production records and work with the team to enhance quality output.
• Follow SOPs and quality system standards and ensure compliance to Health and Safety regulations.
• Contribute to problem-solving activity in the spirit of continuous improvement.
• Willingness to move to other areas within consumables production as needed.
