Job summary

Connect Plus Services (CPS) is seeking a professional Security Officer to join our security team at the Dartford Crossing Estate. In this frontline role you will help keep people, visitors, facilities and operations safe, with shifts on 12-hour cycles (4 on, 4 off) that may include day or night work.

You’ll monitor CCTV, patrol sites, manage access and respond to incidents, while delivering excellent customer service and upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator with ability to build positive working relationships.
• Remain composed and work effectively under pressure to tight timescales.
• Willingness to learn and attend training; flexibility to work at other CPS sites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and operate security systems.
• Patrol road network and depot locations on foot and in 4x4.
• Respond to security incidents promptly and professionally.
• Manage keys, contractor permits and security audit trails.
• Support safe transport of cyclists across the River Crossing.
• Liaise with colleagues, contractors, visitors, DVSA and emergency services.
• Deliver first-class customer experience while following policies.
