Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Multi Skilled Security Officer for Sevington Inland Border Facility in Ashford, Kent. You will provide a visible security presence, assist visitors, monitor radios and incident reporting, and ensure site procedures are followed to keep operations safe and smooth.

The role offers 40 hours per week with a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (06:00–18:00). A valid SIA licence is desirable; basic IT skills and strong communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, friendly and helpful security presence throughout your shift.
• Support clients, contractors and visitors, ensuring site procedures and security requirements are followed.
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies, keeping relevant people informed.
• Liaise with statutory authorities when required, providing clear and accurate information to support incident handling.
• Monitor site radio communications and follow the correct procedures.
• Maintain accurate site records, including incident reports, reference materials and the site occurrence book.
• Build positive working relationships with our on-site client and the wider team.
