Job summary

Preston Muslim Forum is seeking a Peer Navigator to provide information, advice and guidance to individuals and families across Preston. Based at the Hamara Centre, the role supports people facing crisis with practical help and connections to essential services.

The post is 12-month fixed-term, part-time at 28 hours per week, and requires UK work authorisation. Salary is £28,860 pro rata.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates empathy and strong judgement in helping communities.
• Experience supporting vulnerable people facing crisis or isolation.
• Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support and assess individual needs.
• Help with accessing benefits, grants, housing and other assistance.
• Refer clients to relevant services and hubs as needed.
• Assist with digital inclusion and resilience-building activities.
• Maintain records and contribute to reporting and safeguarding.
