Job summary

Dorset HealthCare is seeking experienced, professionally registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists to join the Connection team at St Ann's Hospital. The role focuses on direct clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and coordinating urgent responses within a 24/7 service across Dorset.

Full and part‑time shifts are available, including weekends and nights. A Recruitment Premium of £3,000 on commencement and a retention premium of £1,500 per year (pro‑rata)

Qualifications

• Professionally registered mental health practitioner (Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist).
• Experience in mental health crisis or crisis services is desirable.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and coordinate with emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct direct clinical assessments and provide brief interventions.
• Supervise mental health support workers and advise other agencies.
• Coordinate urgent and emergency responses and liaise with internal and external services.
• Provide information, advice and support to professionals and emergency services.
