Job summary

Cornwall Council is seeking a Crisis Residential and Outreach Worker to join a dedicated team supporting disabled children in crisis situations. The role involves delivering time-limited residential care and outreach services, within a trauma-informed, low-arousal model, to help children regain stability and prepare for permanency.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary setting, provide bespoke interventions, and coordinate with partner agencies to ensure best outcomes for each child, while

Qualifications

• Innovative and calm approach to crises.
• Experience supporting children with complex needs including trauma.
• Willing to work towards Level 3 Diploma (Council will fund).

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis residential and outreach care for disabled children within a multidisciplinary team.
• Respond to crisis and emergency contexts with calm, autonomous decision-making.
• Deliver bespoke interventions based on presenting needs and safeguarding requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.
