Job summary

Sills & Betteridge Solicitors LLP is seeking a Solicitor/Legal Executive (Criminal) to manage cases, provide clear advocacy, and support clients through police station and court procedures in Lincoln.

The role requires a qualified criminal solicitor with strong client care skills and the ability to work autonomously within a collaborative criminal law team. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for court and station appearances.

Qualifications

• Qualified Criminal Solicitor with proven experience in criminal law.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and provide clear client advice.
• Accreditation for Police Station work is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage own criminal caseload from Police Station attendance to Magistrates’ Court.
• Advise clients clearly and empathetically during time-critical situations.
• Prepare cases efficiently in line with legal/regulatory requirements.
• Build strong professional relationships with clients and external agencies.
• Travel to Police Stations and Courts as required (driving licence and vehicle essential).
