G2 Legal Limited in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Criminal Solicitor to join its Crime and Motoring team. You will handle your own criminal caseload under supervision, visiting police stations and courts across Essex.

Criminal Solicitor – Southend-on-Sea

A regional law firm recognised by both The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for its criminal defence work is seeking a Criminal Solicitor to join its established Crime and Motoring team in Southend.

The Role

You will manage your own criminal caseload under supervision, attending police stations and representing clients in the Magistrates' Court. You will also prepare and manage Crown Court files, take statements, draft legal documents and liaise with clients and counsel.

You will primarily be based at the firm's Westcliff office, travelling across Essex to attend courts and police stations.

You will have:

• Solicitor qualification and police station accreditation
• Experience managing your own criminal caseload under supervision
• Experience attending police stations, representing clients in the Magistrates' Court and handling Crown Court files
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
• A full, clean driving licence and a home base in Essex

Duty Solicitor accreditation is preferred but is not essential.
