Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Social Worker (Criminal Justice) to join a challenging criminal justice team. The role covers throughcare, licences, community orders and conducting assessments and case management with electronic recording systems.

The post requires a BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent with SSSC registration, strong interpersonal, communication, IT and writing skills, plus team and multi-agency collaboration. Experience with risk tools such as LSCMI/SA07/RM2000 is desirable.

Qualifications

• BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent; be registered with the SSSC.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, IT, assessment and writing skills.
• Able to work as part of a team, on your own initiative and on a multi-agency basis.
• Experience in risk assessment tools such as LSCMI, SA07, RM2000 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage criminal justice throughcare, licences and community orders, including assessments, case management and recording and monitoring work using electronic case recording systems.
• Interventions with those convicted of high risk sexual and violent offences.
• Experience in client supervision, undertaking individual work and co-working is essential.
