Job summary

Dundee City Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Public Protection Team on a hybrid basis, working from home and at Friarfield House, Dundee. The role is full time, 37 hours per week, within a dedicated team handling risk assessment and supervision of individuals convicted of violent, sexual, and domestic abuse offences.

You will undertake risk assessments and programmes, complete required training, and collaborate with multiple agencies.

Qualifications

• You will have a Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• Registration with Scottish Social Services Council within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and needs and provide supervisory, preventative and rehabilitative approaches to reducing reoffending.
• Deliver group work programmes and statutory duties for the Social Work Department.
• Represent the service in settings including Court.
