Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join the Liaison and Diversion team. You will work across police custody, courts and community settings, delivering specialist SLT assessments and advising on robust care pathways for vulnerable individuals.

Ideal candidates will be registered with HCPC, hold a valid SLT degree, and have experience in criminal justice settings.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree
• Health Professions Council (HCPC) licence to practise
• Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists registration
• Significant experience at Band 5 or equivalent in a community setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist SLT assessments and advise on care pathways across custody and court settings
• Attend police custody suites, courts and community settings to support vulnerable individuals
• Provide expert SLT input to police, courts and MDTs across Hampshire & IOW
• Deliver training on Speech and Language needs within Criminal Justice pathways
