Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioner

A Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioner is required to work on an initial 3-month contract for one of the largest Drug and Alcohol charities in the UK.

The Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioner will be required on site from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out thorough evaluations to identify each person's requirements, strengths, and risks associated with criminal activity.
2. Creating and implementing individualised intervention plans focusing on risk reduction, rehabilitation, and reintegration in collaboration with service users.
3. Ensuring compliance with court orders, licence conditions, and other legal mandates, while regularly submitting progress reports to relevant authorities.
4. Providing one-on-one support, advocacy, and mentorship to help individuals address underlying issues such as drug abuse, unstable housing, employment challenges, and social marginalisation.
5. Leading workshops, educational sessions, and group programs on topics like life skills development, anger management, and conflict resolution.

Experience Required:

• Previous experience working with individuals at risk of offending or with a history of interaction with the criminal justice system in probation services, criminal justice settings, or similar roles.
• Knowledge of UK laws, regulations, and practices related to the criminal justice system.
• Familiarity with risk assessment tools, evidence-based interventions, and criminological theories relevant to offender management.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse backgrounds.
