Job summary

South Ayrshire Council advertises a frontline Bereavement Services role to carry out cremations in line with Scotland's regulations and the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities Code of Cremation Practice. The post also covers chapel attendant and ground maintenance duties across the council’s facilities.

You will undertake additional duties as directed by the Bereavement Services Officer and the Service Lead Neighbourhood Services, contributing to the well-being of local communities

Responsibilities

• Carry out cremations in accordance with the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2000 and the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities Code of Cremation Practice
• Perform chapel attendant duties
• Carry out ground maintenance duties
• Carry out other duties as directed by the Bereavement Services Officer and Service Lead Neighbourhood Services
