My client is a dynamic and fast-paced non-bank lender specialising in providing development finance. They are recruiting an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join their growing team.
The Credit Manager will work alongside the Credit Director and CFO.
Responsibilities
- Credit Proposal:
- Review credit applications for structure, purpose, borrower experience, viability, etc.
- Provide objective feedback and constructive advice to the Origination team, commenting on risks, mitigants, and pertinent issues.
- Liaise with the Portfolio Management team to review valuations, project monitoring surveyors' reports, and reports on title.
- Work with external professionals to ensure reports meet company standards.
- Ensure good and marketable title, correct security package, and risk mitigation.
- Provide final credit approval for initial loan drawdowns.
- Review and sign off on client KYC in line with the company's AML policy.
In-life Loan Management
- Approve construction drawdowns under project monitoring certificates.
- Identify risks such as cost overruns or slow progress.
- Monitor trends in the portfolio.
- Attend and contribute to monthly loan reviews.
- Review and approve amendments to live loans.
- Review and approve sales of completed units.
General
- Suggest improvements to company policies and procedures.
- Provide staff training where necessary.
What You Will Bring
- Credit risk experience in development finance within a bank or non-bank lender.
- Minimum of 5 years in a credit role.
- A proactive 'can-do' attitude and solution-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work in a small company environment.
- Collaborative team player.
