Job summary

NWF Group is seeking a proactive Credit Risk Controller to join our Finance team in Crewe. You will monitor customer credit risk, set credit limits, support debt collection activities, and contribute to protecting the business from financial exposure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Credit Control or Credit Risk role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor customer creditworthiness and financial risk.
• Review and approve new customer accounts per credit policies.
• Set, review, and manage customer credit limits.
• Conduct regular credit checks and risk assessments.
• Monitor aged debt and support collection activities to minimise overdue balances.
• Investigate and resolve account queries and payment disputes.
• Liaise with customers, sales teams and external agencies on credit matters.
• Produce credit risk reports and analyse trends to identify issues.
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen credit risk management.
