Job summary

Standard Bank Offshore, the Isle of Man arm of Standard Bank Group, is seeking an experienced Credit Evaluation Manager to assess and evaluate lending applications through robust credit risk assessment and affordability analysis. Working with stakeholders, you will guide prudent lending decisions, structure securities, and ensure compliance with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

This role supports asset book growth and portfolio quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Commerce or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years' experience in credit assessment, credit risk decisioning and lending within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, repayment structures, collateral management and credit processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess lending applications through robust credit risk assessment.
• Support asset book growth while ensuring lending decisions stay within the Bank's risk appetite and regulatory framework.
• Provide expert credit guidance, make prudent lending decisions and identify growth opportunities.
• Identify and mitigate credit risks through appropriate security structures and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on credit matters.
