Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is recruiting a Credit Controller for a six-month contract based in Halifax. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, chase debts, and resolve invoice issues while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

The role offers hybrid working with Monday to Friday 8:30–17:00, and a salary of £27,000–£32,000, plus opportunities for professional development in a supportive finance team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Credit Control or similar role.
• Proven ability to achieve collection targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Good Excel skills and experience with finance systems.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Collecting outstanding debt and reducing aged balances.
• Resolving invoice and payment queries.
• Recording payment commitments and maintaining accurate account records.
• Building effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting cash forecasting and escalating high-risk accounts where required.
