BC Financial Search is recruiting a Credit Controller for a well-regarded professional services firm in Liverpool city centre. The role offers hybrid working and a salary of £25,000-£30,000, with a friendly, professional environment and clear opportunities for development.

You will manage outstanding invoices, maintain debtor records, build client relationships and support the finance team. The ideal candidate has credit control or accounts receivable experience, solid IT skills including Excel,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
• Strong communication skills to discuss outstanding payments professionally.
• Good organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with financial records.
• Proactive and approachable attitude to resolving queries.

Responsibilities

• Managing outstanding invoices and proactively following up overdue payments.
• Maintaining accurate debtor records and monitoring balances.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients to support timely payments.
• Handling payment queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Preparing and issuing customer statements and payment reminders.
• Liaising with colleagues on invoices and account queries.
• Supporting reconciliation of customer accounts and allocation of payments.
• Monitoring aged debt and providing regular updates.
