Job summary

MTrec Commercial represents our client in Harrogate seeking an experienced Credit Controller fluent in French and English to join the team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for recovering unpaid money, negotiating repayment plans, and maintaining accurate customer files.

The role requires strong numeracy, assertiveness with tact, and excellent verbal/written skills. A friendly, supportive environment and a Monday–Friday schedule support a healthy work/life balance.

• Fluent in French and English required.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers when payments are overdue and request settlement.
• Explain terms of credit and negotiate repayment plans.
• Use databases to check credit records and maintain customer files.
• Trace missing debtors and update records.
• Maintain professional communication with clients under pressure.

The Company you will be working for;

Mtrec Commercial are proudly representing our prestigious client on their search for an experienced Credit Controller who is bilingual in French and English to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

The Role you will be doing;

You will be responsible for recovering unpaid money from customers. You will need to be assertive but tactful. You will also need good number skills, and the ability to explain financial matters clearly. Your work will include:

• Contacting customers when payment is overdue
• Asking them to settle their account and explaining the terms of their credit
• Using databases to check credit records
• Negotiating repayment plans
• Setting up and maintaining customer files
• Tracing missing debtor

About You;

• Must be Fluent in French and English
• Previous Credit Control experience
• Good standard of general education and confidence with numbers.
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Calmness under pressure
• Organised and methodical approach
• Good negotiation skills
• Strong administrative and computer skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Packages.
