Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Daventry team in a semi-hybrid role. The successful candidate will manage billing, cash allocation and day-to-day finance administration for customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and accurate reconciliations.

The role requires initiative, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Navision experience is desirable though not essential, with broader ERP exposure welcome.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Credit Control or Sales Ledger role.
• Strong billing, cash allocation and debt-chasing experience.
• Confident completing bank reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Able to work independently and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer billing and ensuring invoices are raised accurately and on time.
• Proactively chasing outstanding debt and managing aged debt balances.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers to ensure timely payment.
• Allocating and processing customer receipts.
• Managing debt payments and investigating discrepancies or queries.
• Completing daily and periodic bank reconciliations.
• Reconciling customer accounts and resolving outstanding issues.
• Investigating and resolving payment and invoice queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the sales ledger is kept up to date.
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day duties where required.
