Job summary

SNAP is seeking a Credit Controller based in Acle, Norwich, to support our financial performance by ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt, mitigating credit risk and maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, send statements, chase payments, and help with month-end processes while collaborating with the finance team in a fast-paced, technology-driven business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Credit Control role.
• Strong debt collection and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer-focused with attention to detail and resilience.
• Desirable experience with ERP systems or credit risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding arrears.
• Handling customer queries via telephone and email.
• Sending statements, reminder letters and payment links.
• Contacting customers to secure payment and resolve balances.
• Monitoring aged debt reports and escalating high-risk accounts.
• Posting and allocating daily incoming payments.
• Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies.
• Performing credit checks and supporting credit risk assessments.
• Producing aged debt and cash collection reports.
• Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes.
