Job summary

HSS ProService Marketplace in the United Kingdom is seeking a Credit Controller to keep cash flowing across customers, suppliers and The Pros. You’ll own debt reduction, resolve aged accounts, and collaborate with internal teams to keep ledgers healthy.

• Proven experience in a credit control role.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and cash allocation.
• Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a target-driven environment to reduce debt across your portfolio.
• Aim to achieve cash collection targets and reduce outstanding debt.
• Identify potential problem accounts and recommend actions to halt them.
• Represent the company professionally with customers.
• Ensure accurate allocation of cash to client accounts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve aged debt and maintain healthy ledgers.

A typical day as a Credit Controller

No two days look exactly the same here, and that’s part of what makes it work.

As a Credit Controller, you’ll play a key part in keeping things moving for our customers, suppliers and The Pros around you. You’ll take ownership, solve problems properly, and work with people across the business to make things simpler, faster and better.

You’ll be trusted to get stuck in, make decisions, and see things through.

What you’ll be doing

• You will work in a target driven environment to reduce debt across your portfolio
• Within your team you will work towards targets for cash collection reducing outstanding debt
• You will have the ability to identify potential problem accounts, recommending accounts to be halted
• You will represent the company and our values of the business, remaining professional with all customers
• Ensure accurate allocation of cash to client accounts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve aged debt and maintain healthy ledgers

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in a credit control
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, professional services environment

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives is a plus
• Confident presenting information and attending meetings
