Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic in Leeds is seeking a Credit Controller to manage a sales area ledger, advise on credit terms and minimise risk while supporting revenue. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will monitor accounts and collaborate with sales teams to ensure timely cash collection across customers.

You will participate in regular reviews, maintain data accuracy and ensure GDPR compliance, while contributing to a fast-paced, results-driven environment across our UK brands.

Qualifications

• CICM qualification desired
• Experience as credit controller in FMCG preferred
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP and MS Office 365
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and plan daily tasks

Responsibilities

• Daily credit management of ledgers, ensuring accounts are paid to terms and overdue debt is collected
• Manage risk by regular phone contact with customers and sales managers
• Assist with customer queries, claims and payment plans, updating relevant spreadsheets
• Review held orders to manage risk using internal matrices and keep teams updated
• Maintain master data records and ensure GDPR compliance
• Raise pro-forma invoices for cash with customer orders

About the role:

As Credit Controller, you will be responsible to manage a sales area ledger including customers on credit and cash terms. Working closely with the Credit Manager, you will minimise risk and exposure whilst maximising sales.

Role Responsibilities:

• Daily credit management of ledgers, ensuring accounts are paid to terms agreed and any overdue debt is collected.
• Managing risk by regular phone contact with customers and sales managers.
• Working effectively with customers queries and claims and payment plans, keeping relevant query spreadsheets updated.
• Review and assess any held orders to manage risk, always referring to our internal matrix, ensuring customers and sales teams are updated and within the necessary timescale.
• Review and maintain accurate master data records by actioning reports promptly and ensuring compliance with GDPR rules.
• Raising pro-forma invoices for cash with customer orders.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• CICM qualification desired
• Previous experience as a credit controller in an FMCG business is desired
• Working knowledge of ERP(SAP), 365 Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and plan daily tasks without need for referral
• Have worked in an organisation which is fast paced, demanding and results driven
• Working as part of a larger team contributing and delivering joint objectives as well as individual
