Job summary

Bailey Partnership is seeking a full-time Credit Controller to join our finance team in Plymouth. The role focuses on proactive credit control, billing management, client onboarding, and ledger care, supporting multiple sites.

• Proven experience in a credit control, sales ledger, or billing environment.

• Familiarity with Xero is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Proactive Credit Control: build rapport with clients to facilitate timely payments and pursue overdue invoices.
• Billing Management: administer multi-site billing and handle queries as the primary contact.
• Client Onboarding & Ledger Care: set up new accounts, perform credit checks, raise invoices/credits, maintain filing systems.
• Team Collaboration: drive process improvements and support colleagues as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive Credit Control: Build strong rapport with clients to facilitate timely payments, resolve query bottlenecks, and pursue overdue invoices in line with terms.
• Billing Management: Administer multi-site billing processes and serve as a reliable primary point of contact for billing queries.
• Client Onboarding & Ledger Care: Set up new client accounts, perform credit checks, raise accurate invoices/credits, and maintain clean filing/archiving systems.
• Team Collaboration: Drive process improvements, adapt to ad-hoc accounting tasks, and comfortably step in/deputise for colleagues during absences.
