Our client a leading property management firm in the heart of Manchester. We pride ourselves on providing top-tier service to our clients and maintaining strong, positive relationships. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Property Credit Controller to join our finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Control Management: Efficiently manage and oversee the credit control process for our diverse property portfolio.
- Debt Recovery: Proactively chase overdue payments and handle all aspects of debt recovery, including sending reminders, negotiating repayment plans, and initiating legal action if necessary.
- Client Communication: Maintain excellent communication with tenants and landlords, addressing and resolving any payment issues promptly and professionally.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of client accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on debtors, aged debt analysis, and collection performance to senior management.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the credit control process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit control, preferably within the property sector.
- Education: Relevant finance or accounting qualifications are advantageous.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated with a proactive approach. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with a collaborative mindset.
