Job summary

KPJ Group is hiring an experienced Credit Controller in the High Peak area of the UK. You will oversee credit control activities across UK and international customers, ensure timely payments, and manage invoicing and reconciliations.

The role offers strong financial exposure within a well-established engineering manufacturer, with hybrid working potential and a supportive environment. You will be part of a modern facility and proactive finance team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
• Experience managing customer accounts and chasing outstanding payments.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash collection across UK and international customer accounts.
• Create and distribute sales invoices and credit notes.
• Handle customer invoice queries and resolve payment issues.
• Monitor customer credit limits and outstanding balances.
• Approve credits and authorise goods for release.
• Prepare credit insurance submissions and monitor cover.
• Support year-end audits and financial reporting.
• Manage consignment stock invoicing and related processes.
• Collaborate with Finance to maintain accurate records.

What will you be doing as a Credit Controller?

• Managing cash collection across UK and international customer accounts
• Creating and distributing sales invoices and credit notes
• Handling customer invoice queries and resolving payment issues
• Monitoring customer credit limits and outstanding balances
• Managing credit approvals and authorising goods for release
• Preparing credit insurance submissions and monitoring cover
• Supporting year-end audits and financial reporting
• Managing consignment stock invoicing and related processes
• Working closely with the wider Finance team to maintain accurate records

What do you need?

• At least 3 years' experience in credit control or a similar finance role
• Previous experience managing customer accounts and chasing outstanding payments
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks
• Experience dealing with international customers would be beneficial
