Credit Controller

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £30,500

Employment Type: Permanent

Our client is seeking a Credit Controller to join their busy Accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the debt portfolio of customers
• Maintain and update customer account details
• Develop B2B relationships with customers
• Send copy documents upon request
• Release on-hold accounts after payment
• Handle customer communications via phone and email
• Coordinate with sales and other departments to resolve queries
• Manage customer complaints by gathering information and proposing solutions
• Open and close customer accounts
• Allocate payments and refunds daily
• Release pro-forma orders after payment
• Update ledgers regarding on-hold queries
• Perform account reconciliations
• Send monthly reports to the Accounts Manager on unpaid invoices

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent customer service skills
• Patience and composure under pressure
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good listening and negotiation abilities
• Excellent verbal communication
• Persistence and determination
• Familiarity with data entry software
• Teamwork skills
