Job summary

Ipsum is seeking a confident Credit Controller to thrive in a fast-paced finance team in Chorley. You will manage your own portfolio, allocate payments, resolve disputes, and support the credit function with accurate reporting.

The role emphasizes strong communication, timely collection, and collaboration with clients and internal teams to hit targets. Training and progression are supported, with a focus on professional development.

Responsibilities

• Accurately allocate and reconcile incoming payments to customer accounts.
• Build relationships with customers and internal teams to resolve queries and disputes.
• Work towards individual and team targets and keep the Finance Shared Service Manager informed of challenging accounts.
• Prepare and deliver reports to support credit control performance and decision-making.
• Raise invoices promptly and ensure billing processes run smoothly.

About The Role…

We're looking for a confident and motivated Credit Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll manage your own portfolio, using various communication methods to recover outstanding balances while building strong relationships with clients and internal teams. With great attention to detail and a proactive approach, you'll play a key role in supporting the success of our high-performing credit team.

As a Credit Controller you will…

• Accurately allocate and reconcile incoming payments to the correct customer accounts
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams to resolve account queries and disputes
• Work towards individual and team targets, keeping the Finance Shared Service Manager informed of any challenging accounts
• Prepare and deliver reports to support credit control performance and decision-making
