Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Credit Controller to manage outstanding debts and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring cash flow and timely payments across the UK. You will join our Central Services Finance function and contribute to the financial heartbeat of a TIC organisation.

Qualifications

• A people person with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Numerate and well-organised with a tenacious approach to debt collection.
• Experience in a service-based industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SAGE is beneficial.
• Credit control experience in a service environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cash collection targets are met consistently
• Monitor and action all credit control mailboxes accordingly
• Follow the dunning strategy to manage outstanding debts effectively
• Ensure all invoices are paid in line with agreed payment terms
• Promote a positive image of SOCOTEC central finance both internally and externally
• Assist colleagues across the Finance team where required
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and SOCOTEC staff

You will work within our Credit Control function, managing outstanding debts and maintaining positive relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders — giving you genuine exposure to the financial heartbeat of a leading TIC organisation.

About Central Services

Based in Burton-on-Trent, SOCOTEC UK's Head Office houses our Central Services teams. These teams provide a corporate structure to support the wider business. Central Services is broken down into five main areas: Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Finance, and IT. Each of these areas is vital to the day-to-day running of SOCOTEC.
