Active Plumbing Supplies, Malmesbury is hiring! Your local Plumbing & Bathroom Specialist is looking to grow the team and offers an exciting new opportunity.

We are looking to hire a Credit Control & Purchase Ledger Officer to join our head office team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and hard-working approach and be able to work well within a team.

Active Plumbing is a well-established group of 11 branches, with a head office based at the Malmesbury branch (near Swindon).

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

Credit Control

• Engage with customers to secure late payments whilst adhering to credit control procedures
• Confident contacting customers by email, letter and phone.
• Dealing with and solving invoice queries
• Maintaining and reconciling customer accounts within the accounting system
• Liaise with branch managers in respect of overdue accounts
• Regular reporting to the Senior Finance Manager regarding overdue debtors
• Process a high volume of purchase invoices to the payment stage efficiently and accurately
• Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes.
• Initiate and follow up on invoice queries, working with suppliers and internal staff/managers.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations for accurate financial reporting.
• Set up new suppliers on the system and ensure the existing database is well maintained and updated.
• Generate bi-weekly aged creditor reports and resolve all credit balances.

Bank Posting and Reconciliations

• Posting bank transactions
• Daily reconciliations for subsidiary bank accounts
• 23 days holiday

Experience

• Accounts Payable : 2 years (required)
• Credit Control : prior experience (required)
• NetSuite accounting software (desirable)
• AAT part of fully qualified (desirable)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Malmesbury SN16 9JU
