Role/Department:

The successful candidate will form part of the Administration team within the wider Credit Team. The Credit team consists of 10 partners locally with further partners in Bangalore, London & Chicago. We are a busy team with room to grow and the opportunity to further enhance your career development.

The Global Financial Institutional (”GFI”) Credit Team at Northern Trust caters to the credit and FX requirements of both the Fund clients worldwide and the Institutional clients located outside the US. Our services encompass a variety of credit solutions like loans, overdrafts, and FX lines. We assist clients pursuing diverse investment strategies, ranging from regulated mutual funds to alternative avenues like Private Equity and Hedge Fund strategies

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ability to understand the core aspects of processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvement to Management
  • Handling transactions for deposit products including like indexing, document processing, loan processing
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills
  • Should be adaptable and maintain flexibility in completing tasks in an ever changing workplace.
  • Focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures, building towards becoming an area expert
  • Provides coverage during vacation or ill time. Trains/coaches new staff.
  • Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
  • More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
  • Delivers a work product that requires less revision
  • Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions

Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Must be able to multi-task and get work done in a timely manner. Good attention to detail, analytical and have strong communication skills.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of the firm, industry and technology.
