Job description

The role of a Credit Administrator sits within Core Lending but is quite distinct from the role of other members of the team. It plays a vital role in supporting the management of the day-to-day administration of the London Lending Portfolio across multiple products. The job holder will work autonomously carrying out the daily administration of the Credit Administration function, including commitment requirements, accurate recording on the relevant accounting systems and the administration and booking of all Corporate facilities for banking products (non-treasury). Key stakeholder interaction will be with fellow Credit Administrators across the region, the European Service Centre (ESC) and the CLUK deal teams. Other operational and administrative tasks will be undertaken, taking the lead from the Head of Portfolio Management UK.

While this is not a client-facing position, it’s a pivotal one—ensuring transactions are handled efficiently and risks are managed effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in production of various internal risk reports relating to the corporate portfolio
  • Assist Front Office staff on new transactions from an operational and booking perspective to ensure transaction is in conformity to credit approval
  • Assist in the management of credit administration, ensuring all daily operations are accurately an efficiently carried out, yielding smooth and efficient operation of department
  • Check all deal/data entries, monitoring all exceptional items relating to loan transactions including documentation, facility excesses, past due/non performing balances
  • Detailed review of loan documentation against approved credit application for conformity to operational aspects
  • Support commercial deal teams, credit analysts and Head of Portfolio Management with tasks and projects,
  • Ensure management is kept fully informed of operational and other limit issues as they arise;
  • Liaison with other departmental managers as appropriate
  • Provide support and guidance to team members within the group, including development and training.
Skills & Experience Required:

Business Knowledge/ Technical Skills:

  • Ability to interpret and understand Loan Documentation
  • Knowledge of Off-Balance Sheet products and exposure to back office support / treasury functions
  • Good analytical ability with spreadsheet knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of corporate lending products and processes

Leadership/ Management Skills:

  • Leads by example, embodying the culture and values of the Bank
  • Credibility and maturity in dealing with people, across a complex organisation with different cultures and geographies
  • Microsoft Office products – Excel (excellent), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams
  • Use of Proprietary Rabobank systems/portals including Fulfilment, RICCS, CBT, ECPR.
