Job summary

Nuffield Health Bromley is seeking a Creche Assistant to create a safe, stimulating creche environment where children can explore their potential. You’ll support all aspects of their development through play and education, staying up to date with childcare legislation.

Experience in creche settings is essential; qualifications to NNEB, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC are required, with EYPS and Paediatric First Aid preferred. Working hours are approx.

• Proven creche experience required.
• Qualified to NNEB, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC.
• EYPS and Paediatric First Aid are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take reasonable care of yourself and others while complying with Health and Safety policy.
• Create a safe, clean, secure and stimulating creche environment for children.
• Support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development through play and education.
• Provide equipment for play and education and liaise with parents and carers regularly.

Crèche working hours vary from 8:00am-6:00pm and the occasional late night for special functions.

We are looking for a Creche Assistant at our club, who will create a safe, secure and stimulating creche environment - one where children can explore their potential. You’ll consider their physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development. You’ll do it through play and education, always keeping up with the latest changes in childcare legislation. You are passionate about creating great experiences for children and their families. We’ll give you opportunities to train in new techniques and approaches.

You’ll need proven experience in creche environment, and be qualified to NNEB, NVQ Level 3, BTEC. Ideally, you’ll also have EYPS, Paediatric First Aid. Available working hours vary: approx. 4 hour shifts, within the creche opening hours 8:00am - 6:00pm (Monday - Friday). Occasional late nights: parties/movie nights held until 8:30pm on a monthly basis. Flexibility required - shifts on a rota pattern / set days unavailable.

As a Crèche Assistant you will

• Create a safe, clean, tidy, secure and stimulating Crèche environment – one where children can fully explore their potential.
• Consider children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development through play and education.
• Provide equipment for play and education.
• Ensure Crèche is safe, clean and tidy at all times.
• Liaise with parents and carers regularly in an informative and appropriate manner.
