Job summary

Framestore Limited is seeking a Creature FX Artist to develop and implement advanced simulations for characters and creatures within our London-based teams. You will create and optimize simulation rigs, ensuring delivery to lighting and seamless collaboration with modelling, rigging, animation, grooming, and other departments.

The role requires strong Houdini/Maya knowledge, experience with Unix/Linux environments, and a solid eye for anatomy to translate reference into dynamic, believable

Qualifications

• Experience creating simulation rigs for characters and creatures.
• Ability to use simulation rigs to deliver assets to Lighting.
• Familiarity with creature workflow across modelling, rigging, animation and grooming.

Responsibilities

• Create simulation rigs for characters and creatures.
• Execute shots using simulation rigs and deliver finished assets to the Lighting department.
• Liaise with other departments involved in the creature workflow - Modelling, Rigging, Animation, Lighting and Groom.
• Be involved in the development of departmental tools and techniques.
• Meet schedules and deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards.
• Present work for review to leads, supervisors, clients, etc., and follow through with notes and feedback as required.
• Have ongoing communication with production and leads regarding schedules and deadlines.
• Continue to become familiar with new tools, software, data and other related technology.
• Work efficiently as part of a team, or independently, to complete assigned shots.
