Job summary

Nottingham Trent University is seeking a Creative Technology Specialist to support live events, productions and streams across NTU venues and external facilities. You will maintain specialist production equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and deliver workshops and training to staff and students aligned with your technical expertise.

£28,608 - £32,089 per annum ( Pro Rata )

Permanent/ Part Time 18.5 Hours per week

About the Role
  • You will provide technical and operational support for live events, productions, and live streams across NTU venues, studio spaces, on location, or at external events facilities; with a specific focus on the specialist technology within the Metronome entertainment venue and the X Esports facility at the city campus.
  • You will provide technical support on complex integrated systems within NTU event facilities; requiring troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a live environment. You will be adaptable and solutions focused.
  • You will be responsible for the creation, delivery, and development of technical skills training to staff and students across NTU, delivering workshops and production support activity that aligns with your technical specialism.
  • You will actively keep up to date with relevant discipline knowledge, trends and technology, and apply this to practices. Identify appropriate learning opportunities for the team. Build a network of internal and external contacts that help the team deliver a high quality, industry-relevant service.
  • You will be responsible for providing a consistent and effective customer service across the remit of the Creative Technology Services team; maintaining the specialist production equipment and infrastructure within scope, and ensuring all staff and students are working within a safe environment.
