Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is recruiting Teaching Assistants from creative backgrounds (music, performing arts, dance and acting) to work in a state-of-the-art special needs school in Kingston upon Thames. Roles start September 2026 for the full academic year, with opportunities to support Early Years, Primary and Secondary pupils in an inclusive, creative learning environment.

No prior school or special needs experience is required.

Qualifications

• No previous school or special needs experience required.
• Commitment, enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to learn are the key qualities the school is seeking.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with numeracy and literacy.
• Developing speech, language and communication skills.
• Teaching vocabulary and comprehension using visual resources.
• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis.
• Encouraging social interaction and emotional development.
• Assisting with creative and therapeutic activities such as art, music, swimming, cooking, K9 therapy and sensory play.
