Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting teaching assistants able to deliver creative one-to-one support for students with special needs, starting in September. The role centers on creative, learner-led sessions to prepare students for adulthood, with opportunities to assist in music, art and PE, and even outdoor placements at farms and other non-educational venues.

The position is full-time (Monday to Thursday), long-term with job security, and offers CPD including Team Teach and webinars.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Supportive and encouraging manner to inspire trust and motivate learners.
• Willingness to engage in CPD training including Team Teach and webinars.

Responsibilities

• Support students in one-to-one sessions and in class settings (6–8 students per class).
• Develop academic and social skills through creative methods (art, music).
• Teach numeracy with a focus on independence and life skills.
• Support students in community settings and work placements.
