Job summary

Humble Grape is seeking a hands-on, creative, and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and work alongside the head chef to grow with us.

You will help manage wage costs, training, scheduling, and menu development while delivering small plates designed to complement our bold wine list, and contribute to building a kitchen culture that prioritises staff wellbeing and growth across our seven-venue group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role with ability to manage wage costs, training and development, scheduling, and menu development.
• Genuine passion for small plates and sharing-style cooking, with dishes built to work alongside wine.
• Strong mindset around seasonality.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, develop craft, and share experience with the team.
• Hands-on and willing to help out across every kitchen section.
• Kind, compassionate, and a considerate communicator.
